We are affiliated with an independent broker/dealer, which means we do not have any account opening goals, product sales goals, or receive other incentives from third parties. We are not publicly traded and our loyalty is to our clients, not Wall Street. We design custom investment and wealth planning solutions, we don't use models. We can be fiduciaries, obligated to act in your best interest, and sell commissionable insurance products when needed. We can bring together strong resources in the area of planning and investing to benefit our clients. We add specialists to our team when the situations call for it. We have a flat rate and hourly fee-based planning options, asset under management plans so we do better when you do better, and in some cases, if agreed upon by the client, we are paid by an insurance company.
Ryan Carlson is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor™ and James Gaydosh is a Certified Financial Planner ™ and Retirement Income Certified Professional®. Wealth management accounts for asset allocation and return but it is guided by a bottom-line balance sheet approach that also includes asset location, after-tax return, long-term wealth preservation, and intergenerational wealth transfer. The goal of true wealth management is to focus on long-term outcomes. We use the Wealth Allocation Framework, which is an important planning tool for managing multiple assets and goals. It is important to consider wealth and risk across multiple types of capital. The Wealth Allocation Framework categorizes resources according to their intended purpose and shared risk-return characteristics to increase transparency into the potential risks and returns of an investor's total wealth. The Wealth Allocation Framework creates a workable wealth portfolio with the underlying behavioral need to feel stability in an uncertain world using a three-bucket or modified barbell strategy. This accounts for personal risk, market risk, and aspirational risk (which is optional) when building the asset-based risk profile. So, the Wealth Allocation Framework is a risk-based framework and not asset-based.
We create an Investment Policy Statement (IPS), which is a strategic document to outline guidelines that can help launch and manage your investment program. It can be an important and useful tool because it lays the foundation for a client-financial advisor relationship and provides an objective course of action. The IPS details include how the advisor will make investment decisions. A solid IPS is a guide to your financial future. We assign different tasks to different buckets of money, and that typically necessitates using different approaches. We offer an open architecture investment platform, meaning we can build what is appropriate. That can include but is not limited to individual stocks and bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs. We cover all asset classes, including alternatives. We don’t use models or proprietary products. We identify an appropriate benchmark and risk level and try to achieve better performance on a risk-adjusted basis. Factored in are the time horizon, liquidity needs, and net of fees performance.
We, or through our strategic partners, are able to offer comprehensive planning for each stage of your life and legacy. We try to do so in the most efficient and tax-smart way possible. You can learn more in other areas of our site, some, but not all of our services include, Retirement Planning, Capital Risk Analysis and Mitigation, Asset Protection, Income Tax Planning, Income Protection, Estate Planning, Business Buy/Sell Funding Analysis, Deferred Compensation, Executive Compensation, Cash Flow Analysis, Cash/Debt Mangement/Structuring, Mortgage Analysis, Gain/Loss Structure/Impact, Estate Liquidity, Gifting Strategies, and Charitable Planning
When you ask people to rank the things important to them, their health and loved ones are always before money. Why doesn't planning revolve around that?
Many people haven’t figured out that time is their most valuable asset. We can help grow wealth, but growing time is more difficult. If you focus on what you want your time to be spent on, it should direct where your money goes.
We can help make the connection between time, happiness, and money that leads to a richer physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Traditional financial planning is usually mundane and focused on getting you by to some end date or goal. People need to think about how many memories they want to create. Among other assessments, clients will be given a personality test to discover their communication and motivational styles and we break your goals down into Essential, Aspirational, and Generational.
